AMD debuts Ryzen 9000 PRO workstation CPUs with 3D V-Cache, up to 170W TDP
AMD expanded its Ryzen 9000 PRO lineup with six new SKUs, marking the first time 3D V-Cache technology appears in workstation-class processors. The chips range up to 170W TDP and will ship with OEMs later in 2026.
The move signals AMD's push into high-performance compute workstations, competing directly with Intel's Xeon W and Apple's Max/Ultra chips for ML inference, rendering, and simulation workloads—sectors where V-Cache cache bandwidth gains have proven material.
