GeForce NOW adds GOG library sync, 90fps VR, summer sale on memberships
NVIDIA's GeForce NOW cloud gaming service is adding automatic GOG account linking and game library syncing coming this summer, joining existing integrations with Steam, Ubisoft Connect, Epic Games, and Xbox Game Pass. The update addresses a persistent friction point for cloud gamers managing titles across multiple storefronts.
The service is also rolling out in-app labels that show exactly which games are available through connected subscriptions before users click to play—eliminating manual library hunting. VR streaming performance is jumping to 90fps for Ultimate members on supported headsets (Apple Vision Pro, Meta Quest, Pico), up from 60fps, reducing motion sickness and latency in immersive play. The Install-to-Play library is expanding with select Xbox titles like Brutal Legend and Contrast, while launch-day games Control Resonant and Samson: A Tyndalston Story join the platform.
For cloud gaming infrastructure architects, this marks NVIDIA's push to consolidate fragmented gaming ecosystems into a unified streaming layer. With summer pricing—12-month Performance at $64.99 (down from $99.99) and Ultimate at $129.99 (down from $199.99)—NVIDIA is competing directly on ecosystem breadth and UX cohesion. The GOG sync in particular signals NVIDIA's bet that game store aggregation, not native ownership, is where subscription value lives.
