Hydra Host closes $100M Series A for distributed GPU infrastructure at $800M valuation

Hydra Host, a distributed GPU marketplace operator, closed a $100 million Series A led by Kindred Ventures at a ~$800 million post-money valuation. The round included NVIDIA, ARK Invest, SPLY Capital, Era Funds, Comcast Ventures, Magnetar and PEAK6, alongside existing backers Founders Fund, 10x Founders, Sterling Road and Flume Ventures (with Scott McNealy).

Hydra Host operates the Brokkr AI Factory Operating System, a software layer that aggregates GPU capacity from 50+ independent data centers across the Americas, APAC and EMEA, then connects that compute to AI builders needing training and inference capacity. The company's asset-light model lets data centers monetize idle GPU infrastructure without building proprietary stacks, while offering customers flexible, globally-distributed sovereign compute at market rates.

For infrastructure architects and data center operators, Hydra's $800M valuation and diverse investor base (NVIDIA, ARK, Kindred) validate a thesis that distributed compute marketplaces can compete with hyperscaler buildouts. As Oracle's capex forecasts spook markets, the ability to mobilize existing idle capacity becomes architecturally and economically critical.
