IEEE is expanding its industry partnerships by launching formal pitch sessions to connect researchers with corporate venture funders. The program targets PhD and post-doc researchers in AI, semiconductors, and infrastructure looking to spin out ventures or secure R&D backing.
The move reflects growing competition between tech giants and academia for talent and intellectual property. Researchers now have a structured funnel to present work directly to VCs aligned with IEEE's standards and ethics frameworks.
