Three flagship projects define the center's mission: eNose-TB (AI-powered breath-sample TB screening for rural clinics), SmartAgri (multimodal satellite+sensor precision farming), and Tech4Disaster (geospatial AI for natural-disaster early warning). Indonesia records over 1 million new TB cases yearly and sits on the Pacific Ring of Fire—the problems are genuinely scale-critical.
For vendors and practitioners: This signals NVIDIA's long-game bet on Southeast Asia's developer ecosystem. Indonesia is the world's fourth-most populous nation with researchers historically starved of compute access. By anchoring state-university infrastructure, NVIDIA is creating a regional talent pipeline and locking in early developer relationships before local alternatives mature.
