NVIDIA Quietly Ships RTX 5070 Laptop GPU with 12GB VRAM, Expanding Blackwell Mobile Lineup

NVIDIA has released the RTX 5070 laptop GPU with 12GB of VRAM without a formal announcement, slotting it into the midrange mobile segment of the Blackwell generation. The card targets gaming and on-device AI inference workloads on thin-and-light form factors.

The higher VRAM ceiling — up from 8GB on the predecessor RTX 4070 laptop — makes the chip more viable for local LLM inference, a growing consideration as enterprises test edge-deployed models. No pricing was announced at launch.
