Phison Unveils PCIe 6.0 Controller With 28 GB/s Bandwidth for AI Storage

Phison demonstrated a PCIe 6.0 X3 SSD controller delivering 28 GB/s bandwidth and 6.8 million IOPS, supporting up to 2 petabytes per drive. The company also released E37T power-optimized SSDs for PCIe 5.0 systems consuming just 4.5W, addressing bottleneck concerns in AI infrastructure.

For data center teams building out training and inference clusters, next-gen storage I/O reduces latency in model loading and checkpoint operations. PCIe 6.0 adoption enables faster iteration cycles in large-scale AI workloads.
