Quantinuum partners with HPE on hybrid quantum-HPC-AI testbeds for enterprise
Quantinuum announced a strategic collaboration with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) aimed at integrating quantum computing with high-performance computing (HPC) and AI infrastructure for enterprise applications. The partnership establishes a framework for combining quantum processing with classical supercomputing and AI systems, enabling hybrid computing architectures that treat quantum as a practical extension of HPC and AI strategies rather than a standalone technology.
Under the collaboration, Quantinuum will provide access to its quantum systems, developer environment and technical expertise, while HPE will contribute HPC platforms, deployment capabilities and experience in operating large-scale computing infrastructure. Together, the companies will explore hybrid reference architectures, validate application workflows, and engage with select customers on use cases combining quantum technology with large-scale classical environments.
For architects planning enterprise infrastructure, the partnership signals the industry's shift toward integrated quantum-classical systems: instead of waiting for quantum-only breakthroughs, teams can now co-design workflows that decompose problems across both modalities. HPE is simultaneously partnering with eight quantum companies (Intel, IQM, Qblox, Quantinuum, QuEra, Quantum Machines, Rigetti, Riverlane) to build out a full-stack hybrid platform, accelerating the transition from research labs to production deployments.
