SAP has agreed to acquire Prior Labs, a German AI startup focused on automating data governance and enterprise data management. The acquisition adds AI-driven data discovery and lineage capabilities to SAP's analytics and enterprise platform portfolio.
Prior Labs' technology helps enterprises automate metadata management and data compliance at scale — a core need for organizations deploying large language models and analytics workloads. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
