Snowflake, Anthropic expand $200M partnership to deploy Claude AI agents at scale across 12,600 enterprises

Snowflake and Anthropic announced a significant expansion of their strategic partnership at Snowflake Summit 26 (June 1–4, 2026), building on their December 2025 $200 million investment. The multi-year deal makes Claude models directly available within Snowflake Cortex AI across all major cloud platforms (Amazon Bedrock, Google Cloud Vertex AI, Microsoft Azure) and establishes a joint go-to-market strategy focused on deploying production-ready AI agents for 12,600+ enterprise customers worldwide.

Claude now powers three core Cortex AI products: Snowflake Intelligence (an enterprise agent that uses Claude Sonnet 4.5 to reason across structured and unstructured data), Snowflake Cortex Code (a coding agent that has become Snowflake's fastest-growing product ever with 7,100+ users), and Cortex Agents (a framework for building custom multi-agent solutions). The integration moves Claude directly into Snowflake's governed data environment, eliminating the need to send sensitive data to external servers. Snowflake reports Claude achieves greater than 90% accuracy on complex text-to-SQL tasks.

Early customer wins demonstrate production traction: eSentire uses Claude within Snowflake's environment to autonomously handle Tier 1 cybersecurity threat investigations, freeing analysts for complex cases. Intercom's Fin AI Agent now achieves higher automation rates for customer support. Indeed uses Claude to make internal data interactable across its workforce. Carvana deploys Claude for financial analysis on governed data. Companies in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, life sciences) that previously couldn't deploy AI now have a path to production via Snowflake's governance framework.

For enterprises evaluating Claude adoption, the partnership signals a bet that the frontier-model-meets-governed-data model is becoming the table-stakes architecture for regulated-industry AI deployment. Snowflake simultaneously operates as a substantial Claude consumer: its engineering teams use Claude Code, and sales teams rely on a Claude-powered assistant for deal acceleration. The ability to apply existing Anthropic commitments toward Snowflake AI services (via the new Claude Marketplace) simplifies procurement and consolidates AI spend tracking.
